Welcome to Hapeville, Georgia! Located just a few miles outside of Atlanta and right next to the city's international airport, this small city has a rich history and a bright future.

Hapeville was founded in the late 1800s and was named after Dr. Samuel Hape, one of the area's original landowners and its first mayor. The city experienced significant growth in the 1950s and 1960s, with a thriving population that supported four elementary schools and one high school. In more recent years, Hapeville has undergone gentrification, with young professionals and artists moving in and revitalizing the historic downtown area.

Speaking of history, Hapeville is home to the Dwarf House - the first Chick-fil-A restaurant. It was recently rebuilt and expanded, marking its fourth incarnation. Hapeville is also home to the first Johnny's Pizza, and today it's home to portions of the Porsche North American Headquarters, including the Porsche Classic Cars Restoration Facility, Porsche Automotive Service Center, and the Porsche Experience track expansion.

In terms of geography, Hapeville is a small city, with a total area of just 2.4 square miles. According to the 2020 United States Census, the city has a population of 6,553 people, with a varied racial and ethnic makeup. The largest group of residents is Black or African American (35.69%), followed by Hispanic or Latino (31.53%), White (24.02%), and other/mixed (4.35%).

Hapeville's economy is largely centered on the automotive industry, with the former Ford Atlanta Assembly Plant located in the city. There are plans to develop the site into the multi-use Aerotropolis Atlanta. Education is also an important part of Hapeville, with several schools in the city and nearby.
